Hiya Joe. Back I go, back, back, way back...

Although I am interested in what you have to say currently (21OCT2021), having discovered you via warroom circa 28SEP2021, my preference is to absorb you chronologically, to better relate to your progression as a writer. Politics and current events never held much interest in my early days, nor was history/theology/philosophy my forté. In highschool, my love was ECW and biology, thanks to terrific teachers. But in the 70/80s many women were expected to be more practical, ie. nurse/teacher/home-ec/secretary. Without boring you to bits, my pals tried to tutor up my chemistry mark, but sadly managed a mere 64%. An 86 in grd.13 bio was then rendered mute/moot? Applied for EngLit at university, accepted, but too poor to follow through. 3yrs in Tourism Administration instead. Great teachers, one of whom handed me over to his wife, for a 12yr career. No regrets. Left it all behind, to be a Mum. 4 children in 38 months kept me busy and content. Then, life went south. Moved back east, returning to home town roots.

Point being, poetry and classic literature has been my sanity for decades. When a writer presents himself to me, whether Steinbeck or Hemingway or Dickens, my reflex is to enjoy the experience of first written, first read. We grow together. You are no different. Looking forward to the stimulating 'mental math' exercise. If you studied this stuff in eary 2000s, that sets you around 40. You bridge that essential abyss beautifully, between my children (20s) and myself (nearing 60). Thank you for all you do, and how you do it. Stylized without sterility. Lovely.
